Upgrading
Blask can update itself: it periodically checks for a new version (configurable in Settings → Updates, including a Check for updates now button) and offers to download and run the new installer for you. Installing manually works exactly the same way. Run the new installer over the previous version. A few things to know:
- Quit Blask first. Right-click the tray icon → Exit. The installer
cannot replace
Blask.exewhile it’s running. (When Blask starts the update itself, it closes automatically before the installer runs.) - No key needed. A computer that is already activated (license or running trial) skips the activation step entirely, the installer detects the existing activation and goes straight to installing.
- Re-install the Photoshop panel. Open the install folder
(
C:\Program Files\Blask) and double-clickBlask.ccxagain. Creative Cloud updates the panel to the new version. (The panel’s manifest version is bumped each release, so it won’t be skipped as “already installed”.)
