What's new in 1.0.0

  • Licensing: perpetual license keys — one key activates up to 2 computers, with a License tab in Settings to view and free seats.
  • Free 7-day trial: install and try the full app without a key (one trial per computer).
  • Automatic updates: Blask checks for new versions (frequency configurable in the new Updates tab) and offers to download and install them for you.
  • Variation on/off shortcut (Alt+C): toggle color variation without opening the panel; a small toast at the cursor (e.g. LABv ON) confirms the state.
  • Plugin warning: pressing a shortcut while the Photoshop plugin isn’t connected now shows a small “plugin is not running” notice with a help link, instead of silently doing nothing.
  • Color sliders: new RGB and HSB color selection modes.
  • Color variation: new RGB mode.
  • Flow & Opacity: now also work with the Eraser tool.
  • Settings: you can now remove a panel’s shortcut to disable that panel.
  • Plugin: redesigned panel (logo + connection banner); click the banner to reload the plugin when disconnected.
  • Color wheel opens with the selected color under the cursor.
  • Color wheel: right-click and hold to pick a shade from the hue wheel.
  • Transparent bounding box on all panels prevents Photoshop from capturing the cursor when moving across a panel.
  • Unified UI dimensions and font sizes across all panels.
  • Smoother corner rounding on the Color Variation panel.
  • Slider handles no longer overshoot at extreme values.
  • Opening a panel no longer resets the selected color to black.
  • Clicking “Settings” while it’s open no longer launches a duplicate window.
  • Fixed Alt shortcut capture conflicting with Photoshop.
  • Fixed Shift-click straight lines breaking while Color Variation was enabled (including the first point of a line).
  • Opacity/Flow no longer reset brush dynamics (Shape Dynamics, Scatter) on apply.
  • Fixed panels rendering clipped after connecting another monitor or waking from sleep.
  • Fixed non-Alt shortcuts (e.g. Shift+F16) toggling brush options in Photoshop.
